The Fair's kickoff night roars into gear with a balloon-style Power Wheels Demo Derby for kids and a full evening of remote control fun. Featuring Toy Class races for kids, Hobby Class for adults, a jump contest, and RC Soccer, this event is emceed by WRLO’s Dave Melvin and guarantees action for all ages.

Cheese Curd Eating Contest

Nothing says Wisconsin like a cheese curd-eating contest! Put your snacking skills to the test in this hilarious and tasty event. Presented by LBN Foods, one of the top-rated cheese curd vendors at the Oneida County Fair. *Limited to the first 20 adults and 20 children. Two heats. Must sign up at the Exhibit Court Pavilion on the day of the event.

Come watch the canine antics as dog lovers show off their pooch's talents! Or bring your dog to compete for a talent ribbon and bragging rights, of course!
Is your dog a helper, a performer, an athlete, a thinker? Or maybe your dog has a talent all his own!
Hosted by the Oneida County Humane Society, dog parents are invited to compete in one or more categories of talent.
Sign up online beginning July 21 at ochspets.org and watch for announcements on Facebook. A nominal entry fee for talent participants, with proceeds benefiting the animals cared for at the Humane Society.

Iron Woman Skillet Throwing Contest
This crowd-favorite contest invites women to hurl cast iron skillets as far as they can fly. A quirky and empowering showcase of strength and sass! Limited to first 20 ladies 13 and older, and 20 girls 12 and under, one round each for each category. Sign up ahead of the event at the Exhibition Court Pavilion the day of the event. (sorry boys, you’ll just have to watch!)
